Scrivener theme generator

Pick four colors, check the preview, download a dark or light theme file for Scrivener 3 on Windows or macOS. Every hover, selection, find and revision color is derived and contrast-checked, so nothing is left at a default.

Export

Share a theme by copying this code. Anyone can paste it here and load the same colors.

Windows: Window, Themes, Import Theme, then restart. A dark page exports a dark theme with light icons; a light page a light theme with dark icons.

macOS (beta): Window, Theme, Import Theme. The Mac file sets the editor, binder, corkboard, outliner, notes and composition colors. macOS draws its own menus, toolbar and selection highlight, so those follow your system settings, and the preview here shows the Windows layout. This export is new: if something looks wrong, please report it.

Contrast check

Text on the page aims for 7:1, other text 4.5:1, dimmed and decorative marks lower by design. A red row means that state will be hard to read in Scrivener.
